Hors de l'eau
Direction and co-writing of the short film Hors de l’Eau.
A clip from a short film that relates a turbulent period in Hannah’s life, a young executive in her early thirties. She is compelled to be on sick leave due to a burn out. She withdraws to a family house, all alone, away from the city. Although Hannah is trying to take some time off, her professional ambition continues to get the upper hand and buries her back into work. It reaches a point of no return and madness sets in. The symbol of water is used to depict the enslavement of her mind at work and her dawning schizophrenia.
This short film is a criticism of social conditioning in which we are immersed since childhood by educational and family systems.
